As 2024 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on an incredible year for Verse — a year defined by growth, innovation, and the unwavering support of our community.
From launching new tools, utilities, and rewards to empowering new crypto users to thrive in web3, we’ve stayed focused on our mission: making crypto simple, rewarding, and accessible for everyone.
Here are the highlights of our journey in 2024:
This year, we made significant strides toward empowering new crypto users with tools and features designed to simplify their journey:
- Enabling users to get from crypto to cash in a flash with the V-Card, our first crypto pre-paid debit card, where users can top up and spend crypto online and offline anywhere Mastercard © is accepted, and even withdraw from ATMs worldwide.
We’re actively working on expanding the reach of our pre-paid debit card, including bringing it to users in the United States. This will make spending crypto as simple and seamless as traditional payments, giving crypto in the US another powerful way to use the crypto that they hold in everyday life.
- Introduced the in-app web3 browser in the Bitcoin.com self-custodial wallet app, unlocking seamless access to Verse dApps and the greater web3 Ecosystem.
- Launched multichain swaps on the Verse DEX, powered by DeBridge, to expand decentralized swap options across multiple chains.
In 2024, we brought our community closer together through engaging campaigns, events, and collaborative efforts:
- Verse Scratcher Campaigns: From our inaugural Space Explorers, Lunar New Year, Bitcoin Pizza Day Scratcher Collections, to our latest festive Christmas Scratcher Collection we celebrated with our users all year-round.
- Verse Community Calls every weekday strengthened our connection with VERSE holders in Verse Lounge where we shared alpha, sneak previews, plans for the community, and gained insights from special guests on our fireside chats.
Thematic live-streams such as our ongoing 12 Days of Crypto series delivered learning and earning opportunities for users taking their first steps in crypto.

We’re exploring bringing instant rewards to more chains, ensuring that Bitcoin.com wallet users can take advantage of in-app rewards no matter which blockchain they prefer to be on. Stay tuned for updates!
- VERSE Airdrop on Ethereum which rewarded over $500k worth of VERSE to our most loyal holders and users within the Bitcoin.com and Verse Ecosystem.
- A staggering 13.78 billion VERSE burned to date (57% of circulation) — reducing supply and enhancing value through buybacks, supply reduction, and user-driven burns.
- This puts VERSE at a low Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV) of $36.62M which is attractive for those who are looking at our project from a tokenomics perspective.
Collaboration with our community and builders remained a key focus in 2024:
- Verse Community Votes empowered VERSE holders to shape the direction of the ecosystem. We voted on 9 proposals this year, with over 547M VERSE worth of voting power participating in the last community vote. https://vote.verse.bitcoin.com/
- We launched the Bitcoin.com Builder’s Programme, which aims to attract web3 developers to build dapps and innovative projects together with us. Outreach is ongoing for the inaugural batch of builders for the programme.

Our focus will center on four key areas aimed at enhancing the Bitcoin.com and Verse experience:
- Rewards and Partnerships: Expanding opportunities to engage new users and VERSE holders alike with exciting rewards via strategic collaborations.
- VERSE in Web3 Games: Integrating VERSE as the quintessential token in the web3 gaming space, unlocking new use cases and fun experiences in gaming.
- Verse AI: Leveraging AI to enhance user experiences, streamline onboarding, and personalize interactions across the ecosystem.
- Research on Future Trends: Staying ahead by exploring emerging technologies and trends that can shape the future of crypto.
VERSE is quickly becoming the go-to token for users within the Bitcoin.com ecosystem. In 2024, we saw the number of VERSE token holders increase by 100%, to over 20K+ holders to-date.
In 2025, VERSE will still be the token users would earn by simply engaging with and using the Bitcoin.com Platform — whether they’re buying, swapping, or checking the markets in the Bitcoin.com self-custodial app, reading news on news.bitcoin.com, or playing on games.bitcoin.com. This supercharges VERSE distribution, ensuring that our token reaches more users, faster. The numbers are speaking for themselves thus far: the number of VERSE holders has been skyrocketing, reflecting the increasing demand and engagement across the ecosystem.
For those wondering what VERSE is truly for, the answer is clear: it’s the token you hold to earn Bitcoin. By staking VERSE, users can earn Bitcoin as rewards, providing direct incentives for holding and growing their crypto portfolios.
But we’re not stopping there — our team is hard at work to provide even more utility for VERSE. We’re exploring exciting new partnerships with other crypto projects that want to distribute their own tokens. As a result, VERSE holders could soon have the opportunity to earn additional tokens from these partnerships. This could open the door to a broader range of rewards and earning opportunities for users, and cross-pollination of our community with others in crypto.
Additionally, we’re working on introducing tiered rewards for VERSE holders. The more VERSE you hold — and the longer you hold it — the better the rewards you’ll receive. This will help align incentives towards creating a loyal, long-term base of VERSE holders who are integral to the continued success of the ecosystem.
