LayerZero price stalls below $2.50: Is $2.15 next?

LayerZero price has retreated from $2.483 to around $2.29, leaving ZRO below daily resistance at $2.344 as traders approach a 23.63 million-token unlock on Oct. 20.

    Summary

    • ZRO price traded near $2.29 after reaching $2.483, with its daily chart still showing an 8.27% gain.
    • Daily resistance stands at $2.344, while the next lower chart level sits at $2.148.
    • The 4-hour Supertrend sits at $2.089, with ADX measuring 24.31.
    • DefiLlama lists 23.63 million ZRO for release on Oct. 20, equal to 5.92% of circulating supply.

TradingView’s Binance ZRO/USDT charts showed LayerZero trading at $2.29 on Oct. 12 after a sharp advance followed by an intraday retreat. The daily chart recorded a low of $2.096 and a high of $2.483, placing the token roughly 7.8% below its session peak.

The daily gain remained positive at 8.27%, while the latest 4-hour reading showed a 3.42% decline. Across the two timeframes, ZRO had given back part of its advance without erasing the day’s gains.

The longer chart also showed a substantial recovery from September prices around $1. The latest move brought ZRO back into an area that contained several price peaks earlier in the year.

LayerZero faces a resistance test at $2.344

TradingView’s daily Murrey Math levels place the nearest resistance at $2.344, just above the latest $2.29 price. ZRO briefly traded above that level during its advance to $2.483 before returning underneath it.

LayerZero daily chart shows ZRO near $2.29 below $2.344 resistance, with support at $2.148 and Chaikin Money Flow at 0.02.

The next higher plotted level stands at $2.539. A sustained recovery above $2.344 would put the session high at $2.483 back into focus before that higher resistance.

Beyond $2.539, the indicator plots another level at $2.734. Those prices form a conditional upside sequence on the chart rather than confirmed destinations for the current rally.

On the downside, the nearest lower Murrey Math level sits at $2.148, approximately 6.2% below $2.29. The session low at $2.096 lies beneath it, followed by another daily reference at $1.953.

The daily Chaikin Money Flow reading stood at 0.02. Its position slightly above zero showed a modest positive volume-weighted reading, although the indicator had eased from stronger positive readings earlier in October.

Analyst Limbo described ZRO as trading at an important resistance area on a higher timeframe and said a move through that area would prompt a purchase. Separately, Pentoshi acknowledged the resistance test while expressing a personal expectation that the advance would continue.

Both comments place the immediate focus on whether ZRO can establish itself above resistance after the retreat from its session high.

ZRO’s 4-hour chart puts $2.09 support in focus

TradingView’s 4-hour chart shows an ascending channel drawn across the advance from September into October. ZRO dropped below its lower boundary during the recent correction, then rebounded toward that boundary in the latest rally.

LayerZero 4-hour chart shows ZRO near $2.29 testing the lower ascending channel boundary, with Supertrend at $2.089 and ADX at 24.31.

At approximately $2.29, the token was trading close to the lower channel line. Holding that area would support a return into the drawn channel, while renewed weakness would leave the recovery attempt vulnerable to another retreat.

The 4-hour Supertrend reading stood at $2.089, below the market price. That level sits close to the daily low of $2.096, creating a narrow area of overlapping chart references around $2.09–$2.10.

ADX measured 24.31 after recovering from a recent trough. ADX measures trend strength rather than direction, so the reading alone does not establish whether the next move will favor buyers or sellers.

CoinGlass’s 24-hour liquidation heatmap showed a bright overhead concentration around $2.50. Additional bands appeared near $2.48–$2.49, close to the latest session high.

ZRO 24-hour liquidation heatmap shows price retreating toward $2.29, with liquidation concentrations near $2.50 above and $2.24–$2.21 below.

Below the market, visible concentrations appeared around $2.28–$2.29, $2.24, and $2.21. Lower bands extended toward $2.09–$2.10 and approximately $2.06.

The heatmap maps estimated liquidation exposure at different prices. Its bands identify areas where leveraged positions could face pressure if reached, rather than confirming executed liquidations or guaranteeing a price move.

An Oct. 20 unlock follows the STG merger

DefiLlama lists an Oct. 20 release of 10.63 million ZRO for core contributors and 13 million for strategic partners. Combined, the 23.63 million tokens represent 5.92% of circulating supply and would be worth approximately $54.1 million at the chart price of $2.29. The schedule identifies when tokens become available; it does not establish how much recipients will sell.

The release follows exchange changes tied to Stargate Finance’s merger into LayerZero. Binance confirmed on Oct. 7 that it had completed the conversion at a ratio of one STG to 0.08634 ZRO and ended support for deposits and withdrawals of old STG tokens.

KuCoin’s Oct. 10 notice announced the same conversion ratio and scheduled the closure of STG trading and withdrawals. The exchange said holders would receive ZRO after completion, with a further announcement to follow.

On the institutional side, Anchorage Digital announced that it had selected LayerZero for interoperability supporting stablecoin issuance. The partnership connects the project with Anchorage’s U.S. federally chartered crypto bank operations, adding a U.S. institutional development alongside the token’s trading activity.

For the immediate technical setup, TradingView’s $2.344 resistance and $2.148 lower level frame the next test. Above resistance, $2.483 and $2.539 remain the next chart references; below $2.148, attention shifts toward the overlapping support readings near $2.09.
